Careers

Microfluidic Testing Intern

Part-time or project-based internship. Research-use microfluidics, diagnostics, and lab testing support.

MicroCD Labs is looking for a careful, curious intern to support microfluidic testing, parts evaluation, documentation, and early application work. This role is suited for a student or early-career engineer/scientist who enjoys hands-on lab work and clear experimental notes.

What You Will Work On

Test tubing, fittings, connectors, pumps, sensors, chips, and basic fluidic assemblies. Support simple flow tests, leak checks, compatibility checks, reagent handling, sample preparation, and documentation for research-use workflows.

Responsibilities

Prepare small fluidic setups, record flow conditions and observations, organize part numbers and test notes, photograph non-confidential setups, help compare materials, and assist with prototype or assay-development experiments under supervision.

Helpful Background

Coursework or experience in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, bioengineering, biology, chemistry, diagnostics, lab automation, or microfluidics is helpful. Careful pipetting, basic wet-lab comfort, spreadsheet organization, and attention to detail matter more than years of experience.

What We Value

Clear notes, patience with experimental troubleshooting, respect for safety practices, honest communication, and a willingness to learn from exceptional engineers working across microfluidics, diagnostics, assay development, and product development.

How To Apply

Email a short note and resume to info@microcdlabs.com. Include your background, availability, and one example of a hands-on lab, engineering, or testing project.
